Hp Bl460c G1 Drivers For Mac
In my linux exprience 'eth0' is usualy the first ethernet port, eth1 the second. On a default Xensource 4.0 install on a HP BLADE (BL460c G1) the install software swaps the mac address around. The outcome of which is the IP address is not set to respond at the right place. A simple edit of the networks-scripts/ifcfg-eth0 and eth1 files to reflect the expected ordering, followed by a network service restart, brings up the port - and thus enabling the XenCenter to find the Xenserver(s) - if you have multiple blades in the enclosure.Carl. I can install the xen server, after the first boot up there is no default in the eth0 and eth1 network card, but it s impossible to join it. I cant ping anything from the xen console!
For testing more, i take the disks (raid 1 ) of the blade 460C and put there on a Pizza box DL 360 G5. After the first boot, all is ok i can join it with the xen console. So, i put again the disks on the blade, and i have the same problem: No Network while eth0 ans eth1 are up with no errors!!! Any IDEAs Thanks.
Editing the files in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-ethXX works under 4.1 and 5.0 but not under 5.5. I have a similar script that sets the MAC addresses to specific values to match up the ports I want, then use 'xe pif-scan' to put them into the database. But that no longer works under 5.5. It now deletes the ifcfg-ethXX file when you run 'xe pif-forget' on a device which leaves you with nothing to edit. That would be ok if it let you modify the MAC address with 'xe pif-reconfigure'.
Adding usb boot key to an HP ProLiant BL460c G1. Two BL460c G1 and four BL480c G1. All of them are booting ESX 3.5.0 from SAN. Experience as here booting one USB key from two totally different hardware I would say the ESX/vSphere install has all drivers on all installs. But it ignores the MAC prarmater. So far I have not found a way around this.
