Yet, still, 5 years after I bought my iMac, Apple Customer Service Support Advisors continue to accommodate my requests for technical support. They are ALWAYS professional, patient, understanding and willing to stay on the phone or on chat with me until my issue is resolved if they can come up with a solution which they normally do in 98% of cases.

I cannot say enough good things about them. If I am not happy with the results I am getting from the first tier support level, they are more than happy to refer me to a Senior Advisor. The next time you are vacillating about which operating system to buy, consider Apple; you won't be disappointed in their technical support program! They have had my computer 8 days now, and had to replace the hard drive. Now they found that they must replace another part and it is going to take up to 10 days, because that part is not currently in stock. The computer is not even a year old, and I have AppleCare. Apparently for nothing!

I am unable to work from home without my computer. They will not exchange my computer when they keep finding more and more things wrong with it. THIS IS A $2000 computer! This is APPLE a multibillion dollar business that does not stand by their products! They offer me a $300 credit in the accessory store. Yea that really helps. I am extremely disappointed.

I do not recommend buying iMac desktop computers and much less buying the AppleCare that has means nothing with regard to exchanging a defective device! Original review: Aug. 20, 2018 My son went to the Apple Store to see if they could repair his computer. They said they would repair it and it would take 5-7 at the most.

So he left it, he was leaving town in 8 days for college. I started calling on the 5th day to see where it was in the process. They kept telling me it was repaired but it still had not been sent back to the store. On the 7th day I finally try to pin them down as to where it was and they told me it was still being repaired. They are unable to communicate with the warehouse that does the repairs to see how much longer it was going to take, which seems completely ridiculous to me. So we are still waiting and my son is going off to his first day of college without a laptop.

Prior to me using it I would get black screens and a wheel always running showing up on my screen. I went to turn it on after not physically using it within 6 months (meaning I kept it charged). Went to turn it on 2 weeks ago and nothing.

I took it to Apple Support Location in Short Pump VA and rec'd a call THAT my motherboard needs to be replace. You mean to tell me a laptop hardly used needs a motherboard replaced. I call Apple support line. Advise them this cannot be true. There has to be a defect, check the hard drive. I hardly used this computer.

All said and done they wanted close to $500 to repair a laptop hardly used. This is madness.

A company making billions wants customer to pay for Apple Care for a computers/laptops hardly used. Apple is making money off customers because we don't have the resources or government behind us when we are paying so much money for electronic that don't last the time. People we need to stop support companies that don't have no respect for our hard working money and the first thing they want you to do is pay for a repair when they should be looking for defects especially when the laptop hasn't been used on a regular basis. 7, 2018 Never buy a Mac. We bought an iMac from Apple online 7/16. Serial C02X304MJ1G9. Didn't come on day of delivery 7/23. Apple wrote the wrong address. We had to contact the shipping company and fix the problem and received 7/24 - Apple did nothing except apologize for the inconvenience. Following Tuesday 7/31 my wife goes to turn on the computer and it gives her a huge electrical jolt leaving her left arm numb for about 5 hours.

We call customer service and say the computer is bad and that we want a replacement, customer service lies and says that isn't possible, so we say 'Fine pick up the computer and give us a refund.' CS again lies and says that isn't possible. That the computer can only be serviced. I check online to see if others have had the same problem and find. Apple's own website saying we can return our computer with 14 days of receiving (which it is/was).

So we call CS again to find out why they lied - of course they wouldn't answer, just CS doesn't do refunds, just service. But we get the repair service canceled and they are giving the Apple online store number and set up to return the computer. What happens, on 8/5 Apple calls and admits it screwed up again and sent the iMac into repairs. On 8/7 today, the iMac showed up in my garage. Apparently Apple isn't capable of sending a computer from their repairs division to their online store division. We call CS to find out what's up.

They say we have to call the online store again and set up another pickup because they can't do it. Is this really legally our responsibility? We sent the iMac to Apple using their print out address. Why do we have to deal with it again. Anyways, we call Online and now the new pickup is 8/9 and our refund won't be done until after 8/18 - after credit card is due, when we were initially told by 8/13 before credit card is due.

So another headache in the making. I have to wonder is Apple really this incompetent or is it because my wife is Japanese and doesn't understand the legal system well? Every time I go to Maple service centre they tell me, 'We will repair it perfectly and the problem won't repeat again.' And after every couple of months the problem occurs again. At the Maple service centre in India they have kept salespeople who even understand what's the problem, nor do they want to listen. All they say is, 'Our engineer will check and we will get back in 4-5 days.' When they repair and give me they erase my entire data and reformat it. We had to erase the hard drive and manually migrate all files from old computer. In January (just 2-3 weeks after use), it started behaving weird, freezing/crashing on different applications, cannot restart, not able to save files. Apple customer service suggested it's a hardware problem, but they refused to change it until we try erasing/reformatting again, which we did.

Same problem still. Now in March we again called them and ask for a replacement, they promised to replace hard drive, but now they want to try erasing/reformatting again. This iMAC is for work and I've wasted several days already with erasing/restarting everything - 3 times. I really had enough and for a computer that's over $3000, I expect better quality and customer service. I tried that. I wrote two letters approximately two months ago. Absolutely no response. No acknowledgement whatsoever.

I ended up purchasing 6 HPs in several years; in addition I had them repaired as well. I threw the last one out when I saw a sale on Desktop Macs. I took the class that was offered (3 classes) and fell in love with the Mac! I have not had any trouble at all; I got a little help from the company that I purchased it from. I wish that I had just purchased the Mac to begin with.

I could have purchased 6 Macs with the amount that I spent on the HPs! Whatever new software comes out you can download it on your computer and there is no fee. I have called technical support many times. I was never charge for any.

Original review: Jan. 18, 2018 I have had this iMac for almost 10 years and the only issue is with the A drive. It will eventually take a disk after about 10 tries. Other than that no problems at all. It is so much easier to use than a Windows-based PC. I would like to upgrade to a new iMac but they are expensive. However if I broke it down on a year by year cost I am guessing I would had to have 2 or 3 of the Windows computers by now so the most is appropriate for the length of service you get, just the upfront cost is higher.

I love Apple products! I have an iPhone 7 and also an iPad! But now, I'm started to questioning this love.

I downloaded the High Sierra operational system and my computer is not working well. The built in sound speakers work whenever they want to, the time to turn in on and off is terrible. Some programs, like basic Word or Excel takes forever to run. I mean, a totally disaster. I took the computer for a checkup. I paid U$ 69,95 just to have it diagnosed at an Apple Support. I thought all my problems would be solved!

No, it didn't happen! Now, they told me that the High Sierra Operational System has messed it up my computer and I have to downgrade! So, I'm not a person that understands about computers and technology, so, I must trust the information I have gotten, right? Their price is U$ 149,95 to do this service! How could Apple do this to us? Inform that it's time to upgrade to a new operational system and now it just messed it up my computer and I have to pay to have it fixed??? So, once again, I looked over the Apple website and they inform you on how to downgrade!

I was very happy, cause I could do it myself, right? It's almost rocket science for someone that is not a tech pro! And at the end of the information, Apple gives a note that only experienced professionals should do this! Come on Apple!!! I didn't cause the problem on my computer and now you are not helping me to solve it!!! Please, I need help to have my beloved computer working back again!
