A second option would be some kind of Ethernet to Parallel adapter, which is basically a network print server. A suitable external HP JetDirect model will let you connect an HP LaserJet to a network (I have an old JetDirect EX Plus with my LaserJet 6MP, and it works fine with Mac OS X). A third option would be an Ethernet to LocalTalk adapter, which would then connect to the printer's serial port.
